MAAW represents an ongoing project to systematically categorize management and accounting literature from the past 100+ years. The site is open and freely accessible to anyone on the web and particularly useful to students, researchers, and practitioners interested in accounting.
The site includes management and accounting literature categorized by author (Bibliographies by Author), by Journal (Journal Bibliographies), and by topic (Main Topics page). MAAW is designed around 150 main topics (some fairly broad) that can be accessed from the Main Topics page, or the Table of Contents. At a minimum, each topic includes a main page and bibliography. Many topics also include several article summaries, book summaries, other summary information, and a list of questions related to that topic. MAAW can be used to supplement any course of study in accounting, most accounting research projects, and perhaps most courses and research projects in business and economics as well.
As of January 2023 MAAW included 1,947 web pages. Perhaps the best way to get an overview of the scope of MAAW is to scroll through the Main Topics Page, Article Summaries Pages, and Book Summaries Page. Another alternative is to scroll through the Fairly Comprehensive Table of Contents, or MAAW's Accounting Index Pages. The index includes links to all main and sub topics, plus shorter article lists for dozens of additional sub-topics and terms. The site also includes an alphabetical list with links to all of MAAW's Main, Journal, Topic and Sub-Topic Bibliographies, and a Google Custom Search Box for MAAW.
The pages of MAAW reveal that management and accounting topics represent a very broad and extremely important area of study for those interested in business in general, as well as those interested in accounting and management. I hope you find the site useful, bookmark https://maaw.info, and spread the word to others. You can get updates for the site on MAAW's Recent Summaries and Journal Updates page, MAAW's Blog, or MAAW's LinkedIn Group.
